For our first event of the year, we are pleased to be partnering with TypeEd to present this special event devoted to Typograpy. We are honored to have Michael Stinson who is the lead instructor at TypeEd and a partner at Ramp Creative. Over the course of 19 years in the field of design, his work for client brands Quiksilver, Wet Seal, Agostoni Chocolate, CWS Capital Partners, Edwards Lifesciences and more, has been recognized by numerous publications and industry organizations. Conversely, he has served on the design competition juries for Graphis Annual Reports, the One Show Design and the One Show Young Ones College Competition.
The presentation is entitled, “How to seduce your reader’. Copy will not be read unless the type looks irresistible. Intrigue readers by creating a tantalizing page composed with rhythm, scale, shape and space. Make your readers beg to purchase, sign up, or join your cause. All with typography.
TypeEd instructor Michael Stinson will demonstrate how to improve readability by approaching design with a typographic mindset and developing a system that entices people to read. The topics will be demonstrated on InDesign, but the fundamentals can be used to achieve good typography in any situation, whether in print or on screen.
